Bonsai- Bonsai is the Japanese art that works with trees “planted in a shallow container “. The art originated from the Chinese discipline of “Penjing” as far back as the 6th century, stretching the history of Bonsai to well over a millennia.

  • Sunday, April 27th beginning at 1:00 PM
  • Registration and Pre-Viewing at 12 Noon
  • Silent Auction Tables - Bidding will also commence at 12 Noon

Our club’s annual auction of “all things bonsai” will happen this year for the first time at:
UNCW's Truist Hall, 680 S College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403

Come on out and bid. Always a fun time to see your colleagues and get some of the bonsai supplies, materials, and trees you may be needing.

There will be plenty of starter plants as well as more mature material available to bid on. Both imported and hand-made containers by club members, Bob Pruski and Ron Lang and Sharon Edwards-Russell. Plus more!

This auction is our main fundraiser for the year. Our primary way of supporting the artists we bring to our club to teach and run the workshops, demonstrations and events, all critical to our educational mission.

Reminder: We can accept Ca$h and Checks only
