The Living Art of Bonsai in the Cape Fear Region

A welcoming community gathered along the river to study, shape, and develop trees through hands-on workshops, visiting artists, and shared practice.

Cape Fear Bonsai Society is a welcoming community dedicated to the study and practice of bonsai in Wilmington, North Carolina. We gather in person for demonstrations and workshops focused on developing healthy trees and strong foundations.

Rooted in the Cape Fear landscape, we draw inspiration from the river, cypress, and coastal climate that shape both our trees and our community.

Established in 2001, we continue to grow and evolve while staying rooted in community and craft.
